One precursor of
was so-called ResumeReader — an application for OCRing and parsing résumés/CVs. ATAPY did a certain amount of research for this application but never actually implemented it because it opted for the more general approach of

Extensive correspondence with Recruiting Solutions International, Main Sequence Technologies, and Bond International Software, the three leading providers of recruitment-related software, has revealed a lot of interest for the ResumeReader concept. All three companies indicated desire to integrate ResumeReader as an input front-end into their staffing applications, such as RecruitingCenter and PCRecruiter.
